Miriam Levenson's Biography
Miriam Levenson is an internationally certified Feldenkrais practitionercm. She graduated from the four-year Feldenkrais training program in 1997, at which time she founded Effortless Action, LLC., a private practice specializing in the Feldenkrais Method® of Movement Education.
Ms. Levenson developed the concept for The Effortless Gardening Program because she noticed a high number of gardeners coming to her for pain relief. She first created an Effortless Gardening workshop for her local botanical garden in Madison, Wis. The positive response from the ongoing workshops convinced Ms. Levenson that a comprehensive program was needed to ease the mind and body strain brought on by gardening. Ms. Levenson is the only person to create a multimedia program for gardeners based on the Feldenkrais Method of Movement Education.
Ms. Levenson has served on the Board of Directors for the Feldenkrais Guild of North America, a 1,200-member non-profit association. She earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Earlham College, Richmond, Ind., with a minor in music. She speaks three languages and is an avid cello player. Ms. Levenson lives in Madison, Wis.
